Supreme Saucepan Brownies
Sometimes these are way too wet (maybe it's my oven or my pan), so I've started using 3 eggs instead of 4 and 1 cup of chocolate chips instead of 2. They are still fudgy but not completely flat.
Setup: Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9x13-inch pan.
Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) Butter or Margarine 2 cups Sugar
½ cup cocoa 4 Eggs, beaten
⅔ cup Flour ½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Baking Soda 2 tsp. Vanilla
2 cups semisweet Chocolate Chips or 1 ¾ cups chocolate chunks ½ cup macadamia Nuts, coarsely chopped (or WalNuts or Pecans)
Method: Melt Butter. Stir in Sugar and cocoa to blend. Stir in beaten Eggs.
In a separate bowl, stir together Flour, Salt, and Baking Soda. Stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in Vanilla, Chocolate Chips, and Nuts. Spread brownies into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven 35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan and top begins to crack slightly. Do not underbake. Cool completely; cut into bars.
