Waffle Cones (Gaufrettes)
To turn these into the shells for choco-tacos, Matt drapes the warm waffles over a wooden spoon or (clean) broom handle until they cool and keep their shape. Also, the batter is delicious. Be sure to make a couple of batches so there's enough left after you've licked the spoon. --Lib
Ingredients:
2 Egg Whites ¼ cup (½ stick) Butter
¾ cup Powdered Sugar ⅛ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Vanilla ½ cup Flour
Method: Melt Butter and set aside to cool.
Beat Egg Whites until stiff.
Add Salt, vanillla and Powdered Sugar to Egg Whites.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in Flour until well mixed.
Fold in melted Butter until well mixed.
Use 1 heaping Tbsp. on hot waffle iron.
